Support Employee Free Choice

This will provide you with a quick way to urge North Carolina Senator-elect Kay Hagan to support us!

Organized labor made big gains in the November elections. Here in North Carolina, we elected a new Senator whose vote will be critical to passage of the Employee Free Choice Act, a bill which is CWA's highest legislative priority for 2009.

Our new Senator has promised to listen to us, so NOW is the time to make our voice heard.

The Employee Free Choice Act:

  • will help level the playing field for America's workers by giving them a fair and direct path to form unions.
  • helps America's working families improve their standard of living by making it easier for them to form a union.
  • fixes a broken system that gives corporations far too much power.
  • restores fairness and the promise of the American Dream.
  • gives workers the choice of either majority sign-up or an election to form a union. It does not prohibit elections.
Corporate America will be fighting us at every turn, with massive amounts of money and publicity. We can't out-spend the corporations, but we have something they do not - we have you and me and all our fellow union members.

It is critical that we let Senator-elect Kay Hagan know how important this issue is to us. By clicking the link above, you can add your voice to those of your fellow members of CWA in North Carolina and ask our new Senator to support the Employee Free Choice Act.

Clicking the link above will take just a few seconds.  DO IT NOW!
